Introducing Angelique, owner of The Pole Space, a passionate performer with a lifelong dedication to dance and the stage. From the tender age of 6, she began her journey into the world of dance under the expert guidance of Janice Breen. Trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Contemporary. As a cherished member of the acclaimed Breen Machine, she showcased her talents in prestigious events like Carols in the Domain and various corporate gigs and even performing for the late Queen. Her love for the performing arts led her to Newtown Performing Arts, where she honed her craft even further.

Angelique's journey as a dancer led her to an exhilarating chapter on the high seas. For four years, she graced the stages of Carnival Cruise Lines, enchanting audiences from around the world. Her years on Carnival Cruise Lines not only polished her skills as a performer but also enriched her life with diverse experiences and unforgettable memories.

After her vibrant experience with Carnival Cruise Lines, In 2010 Angelique's passion for pole and aerial arts ignited. In 2014, she became a key member of Slide Lounge's Risque Revue, getting to showcase her dance, pole and aerial skills weekly. From El'Circo to The Gin Mill Social, Angelique's stage presence enchanted audiences for 4 years at Slide. One of her favourite moment arrived with 'Spiegl-esque,' a production where her aerial prowess alongside Chris Talbot/Blue Phoenix garnered rave reviews.

Angelique embarked on her competition journey in 2018, stepping onto the pole and aerial stage with determination to learn. With Hardcore, APC, Miss Lyra, Floorplay, and more under her belt, she has delved into the intricate world of competition dynamics. Years of experience have granted her an insightful understanding of the competition realm, a domain she thrives in. The allure of crafting routines aligned with her artistic vision has been an exhilarating aspect of her journey.

Pole dancing for over a decade, Angelique's dedication shines through. Recently winning the Pro Drama Category at Pole Theatre Australia, a testament to her remarkable skill and artistry. As an artist with over 11 years in the pole dance and aerial community and over 25+ in the dance world, she continues to push boundaries, embracing the ever-evolving world of pole, aerial and dance with an unwavering passion.

JESS

Jess took up pole in January of 2015 and has never looked back. She loves pole dancing for the incredible community and the numerous opportunities for personal growth it presents. Since becoming a teacher, nothing is more exciting for her than helping her students achieve their pole and flexibility goals.

Jess has competed in numerous pole dance competitions and has no desire to spot.
