Emerge was created to provide a platform for those looking to compete in larger competitions or to showcase new acts they've crafted with passion and creativity. This event is about more than just performing—it's about embracing the courage it takes to step into the spotlight. At The Pole Space, we've cultivated a nurturing and intimate environment where many have conquered their fears and discovered the thrill of performing. Now in its fourth edition, Emerge has become a cornerstone of our community, where the energy in the room is electric, and the support from fellow performers and the audience is something you truly have to experience to believe. Open to participants aged 18+.

Participants aged 16-18 are welcome to apply with special permission. Please contact Angelique at The Pole Space for approval.

⚪️ Submission Requirements

Submit a video between 1.5 to 2 minutes in length.

The video should demonstrate the style or apparatus you intend to perform on the night.

If the video is not your intended routine, please include a detailed description of your planned performance.

⚪️ Performance Setup

Pole performers will have access to 1 x 40mm brass x-pole. *

Lyra performers will have access to 3 hoop sizes or are welcome to supply their own.

If you haven't been to The Pole Space before, please note that it's a small studio, and unfortunately, we cannot accommodate large props or routines requiring extensive space. If you're unsure whether your routine is suitable, please refer to our information pack, which includes the studio dimensions.

* We are working to secure two poles for the event; however, this is not yet guaranteed.

⚪️ Entry Fee

$15 per submission.

While we'd love to showcase everyone, time constraints may limit the number of performers we can accept. If you’re not selected this time, we’re offering to apply your entry fee towards a ticket so you can still join us and cheer on your fellow performers.
